Terms of Use for Plant Identifier: PlantSnap

Welcome to Plant Identifier: PlantSnap ("PlantSnap," the "App"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App provided by Syahrul Ahmad Saputra / CCR Dev ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

PlantSnap is an AI-powered educational tool that helps users identify plants from photos. The App provides a likely visual identification, general traits, plant type, growing environment, basic care notes, toxicity awareness, similar plants, and observation tips.

The App is intended for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified botanist, horticulturist, arborist, gardening professional, poison control center, veterinarian, or any other expert.

2. Not Botanical, Medical, or Safety Advice

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI identification may be inaccurate. Do not rely on it for any critical decision.
• PlantSnap does not provide professional botanical identification, plant disease diagnosis, medical advice, herbal treatment advice, veterinary advice, poison control advice, emergency safety guarantees, edible plant guarantees, exact species certainty, pesticide or chemical treatment instructions, or legal advice about protected or invasive species.
• Do not eat, ingest, apply, touch, or use unknown plants for medical, herbal, cosmetic, or safety purposes based only on results from the App.
• Some plants may be toxic to people or pets. For poisoning concerns, allergies, serious exposure, protected plants, or uncertain identification, you must contact a qualified professional, local authority, or poison control center.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Free Limits

• Free tier: Up to 3 lifetime AI scans, access to the latest 3 history items, and up to 3 saved favorites.
• Premium tier: Unlimited scans, unlimited scan history, unlimited saved plants, detailed identification reports, similar plant comparison, care and toxicity awareness notes, and shareable summaries.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription via your Apple ID account settings. Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.

5. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
• Use the App to identify, harvest, or harm protected or endangered plants;
• Use the App to provide commercial botanical, gardening, medical, or safety services;
• Submit photos containing illegal content, child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes on others' privacy or intellectual property.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of photos you submit. You grant us, our AI providers, and our subscription processors a limited license to process those photos solely to deliver the App's functionality (such as generating a plant identification).

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any photo you upload, including ensuring it does not violate the privacy of any person.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services, including OpenRouter (for AI inference), RevenueCat (for subscriptions), and Apple StoreKit (for purchases). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by Syahrul Ahmad Saputra / CCR Dev and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. AI-generated text and educational summaries within the App are provided for your personal use only.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT AI IDENTIFICATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INJURY, ILLNESS, ALLERGIC REACTION, POISONING, LOSS, OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS, PETS, PROPERTY, OR PLANTS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS RESULTS.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, including if you breach these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
