NutriFacts Scan AI is developed by Syahrul Ahmad Saputra. The App helps users scan or upload photos of food nutrition labels and receive simple AI-powered summaries of visible nutrition information.

Important: NutriFacts Scan AI provides general nutrition label information only. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition therapy, or personalized diet recommendations.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Images You Choose to Scan or Upload

The App allows you to scan or upload food nutrition label images. These images are used only to analyze visible nutrition label information and generate a summary.

Depending on the App version and configuration, images may be processed by an AI service provider to generate the nutrition label summary. We do not use your images to personally identify you.

1.2 Nutrition Scan Results

The App may store scan results locally on your device, such as:

Nutrition label summary
Visible nutrition values extracted from the image
Scan date
Confidence or image quality notes
Scan history stored on your device

Local scan history is stored on your device to help you review previous results. You may delete your scan history from within the App if this feature is available.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Information

If the App offers premium features, purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

Apple may provide transaction status information necessary to unlock premium features, such as whether you have an active subscription.

1.4 Contact Information

If you contact us for support by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect:

Your name, unless you choose to provide it in a support email
Your precise location
Your payment card details
Medical diagnosis information
Health records
Biometric information
Government identification numbers

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Analyze nutrition label images selected by you
Generate simple nutrition label summaries
Display key nutrition information such as calories, sugar, protein, fat, sodium, fiber, and serving size when visible
Save scan history locally on your device if enabled
Manage free scan credits and premium access
Provide customer support
Improve app stability, performance, and user experience

4. AI Processing

NutriFacts Scan AI uses AI technology to analyze nutrition label images and generate summaries. When you choose to scan or upload an image, the image may be sent to an AI service provider for processing.

The AI analysis is based only on visible information in the image. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate if the image is blurry, cropped, unclear, or if the nutrition label is not fully visible.

You should always check the original product packaging before relying on any result shown in the App.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services to support app functionality, including:

AI image analysis provider for nutrition label processing
Apple App Store for purchases and subscriptions
RevenueCat for subscription status management, if integrated
Apple system services such as camera, photo picker, and StoreKit

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Camera and Photo Library Access

The App may request access to your camera so you can scan nutrition labels. The App may also request access to your photo library so you can select a nutrition label image.

Camera and photo access is used only for features you choose to use. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

7. Local Data Storage

The App may store certain information locally on your device, such as scan history, remaining free scan credits, and app settings.

If you delete the App, locally stored data may also be deleted from your device.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers for cross-app tracking.

Information may be shared only when necessary to:

Provide the AI scan feature
Process subscriptions through Apple
Operate subscription access through RevenueCat, if integrated
Comply with legal obligations
Protect the safety, rights, and security of users or the App

9. Children’s Privacy

NutriFacts Scan AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Nutrition and Health Disclaimer

NutriFacts Scan AI provides general information based on visible nutrition label data. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, nutrition therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or health recommendations.

The App does not determine whether a food is safe or unsafe for any medical condition. Always check the original packaging and consult a qualified professional for personal dietary, allergy, medical, or health concerns.

11. Data Accuracy

AI-generated results may contain mistakes. Nutrition labels may be misread due to lighting, blur, image angle, packaging design, language, or incomplete visibility.

Always verify important information directly from the original product packaging.

12. Your Choices

You may:

Choose not to scan or upload images
Delete scan history if the feature is available
Disable camera or photo permissions in device settings
Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
Contact us with privacy-related questions

13. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

14. International Users

If you use the App outside your country of residence, information may be processed in countries where service providers operate. By using the App, you understand that data may be processed according to this Privacy Policy.
