These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of MoonStar: Sky Scanner (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
MoonStar: Sky Scanner is an AI-assisted night sky scanner that allows users to scan or upload photos of the moon, stars, and night sky. The App may provide estimated moon phase, star visibility, sky clarity, cloud obstruction, light pollution estimate, image quality insights, educational explanations, and night sky photography tips.
The App is provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. Results are AI-assisted estimates and may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for professional use.
MoonStar: Sky Scanner is not a professional astronomy tool, scientific measurement instrument, navigation tool, research tool, safety tool, or guaranteed sky object identifier.
AI-generated results may vary depending on image quality, camera performance, weather conditions, clouds, light pollution, user location, time of capture, and other environmental factors.
You should not rely on the App for professional astronomy, scientific observation, navigation, emergency decisions, or any situation where accuracy is required.
By using the App, you agree that you will:
You are responsible for the photos and content you upload or save in the App. The App may process uploaded photos to generate AI-assisted sky insights.
You retain ownership of your content, but you grant us permission to process your uploaded content as necessary to provide App features.
MoonStar: Sky Scanner may offer free and premium features. Premium features may include unlimited AI sky scans, detailed sky reports, moon calendar, stargazing planner, unlimited journal, export features, photo quality tips, or other advanced functionality.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are managed through Apple and/or related payment services. Prices, trial availability, renewal terms, and subscription options may vary by region and may change from time to time.
If the App offers auto-renewable subscriptions, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel your subscription.
If a free trial is offered, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends. Trial availability and duration may vary.
Refund requests for purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies. We do not directly process App Store refunds.
The App, including its design, branding, text, graphics, icons, software, features, and other content, is owned by or licensed to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App without permission.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
You use the App at your own risk. AI-assisted results are provided “as is” and without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties that the App will meet your expectations, produce accurate sky identification results, or operate without interruption or errors.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to comply with Apple’s applicable terms and conditions. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for the App.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in activity that may harm the App, other users, or third-party services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
