MoonStar: Sky Scanner is developed by Syahrul Ahmad Saputra. The App is designed to help users scan the moon, stars, and night sky for educational and entertainment purposes.

2. Photo and Image Processing

When you scan or upload a night sky photo, the image may be processed by AI services to generate sky insights. These insights may include estimated moon phase, detected sky objects, star visibility, sky clarity, cloud obstruction, light pollution estimate, image quality, and photography tips.

The App does not use your photos to identify you personally. However, you should avoid uploading images that contain private, sensitive, or personally identifiable information.

3. AI-Assisted Results

MoonStar: Sky Scanner provides AI-assisted results for educational and entertainment purposes only. Results are estimates and may vary depending on image quality, camera performance, weather, light pollution, location, and other conditions.

The App is not a professional astronomy, scientific measurement, navigation, or research tool.

4. Location Information

Some features may request access to your location to provide more relevant sky-related information, such as moon visibility, moon calendar context, or stargazing insights.

Location access is optional. You can allow, deny, or disable location access at any time through your device settings.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

Provide AI-assisted night sky scan results.
Generate moon, star, and sky visibility insights.
Save your scan history or journal entries if you choose to use those features.
Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.
Manage premium access, subscriptions, or purchases.

Some data, such as scan history, journal entries, or saved results, may be stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, locally stored data may also be deleted unless backup or sync features are available and enabled.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the App, process AI results, manage purchases, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or protect the safety and integrity of the App.

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Your Choices

Choose not to upload photos.
Delete saved journal entries or scan results if the App provides this option.
Disable camera or photo access in your device settings.
Disable location access in your device settings.
Manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
