These Terms of Use govern your use of CoverWise AI, a mobile application developed by Syahrul Ahmad Saputra.

By downloading, accessing, or using CoverWise AI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. App Description

CoverWise AI is an AI-powered book cover scanner that helps users understand books from cover images. The app may detect visible book details such as title, author, publisher, ISBN, and cover text, then generate summaries, genre insights, reading difficulty, and recommendations.

The app interface is in English, while AI-generated results may be provided in the user’s device language.

2. AI-Generated Content

CoverWise AI uses artificial intelligence to generate book-related information. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable depending on image quality, book availability, and AI interpretation.

You understand and agree that:

• AI results are provided for informational and reading-discovery purposes only.
• AI results may vary and should not be treated as official book data.
• Ratings and review summaries are shown only if available or clearly identified as AI-generated insight.
• The app does not guarantee accurate identification of every book.
• The app does not provide full copyrighted book content.

3. No Copyrighted Book Content

CoverWise AI does not provide full book text, pirated books, copyrighted chapters, or unauthorized book downloads.

The app is intended only to provide summaries, visible cover analysis, metadata-style insights, and reading recommendations.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use CoverWise AI responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

You agree not to:

• Upload images containing sensitive personal information.
• Use the app to request or distribute copyrighted full book content.
• Misuse the app for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the app or its services.
• Interfere with the app’s systems, security, subscriptions, or AI services.

5. Subscriptions and Premium Features

CoverWise AI may offer free scan credits and premium subscription options. Premium features may include unlimited scans, saved reading insights, or other enhanced app features.

Subscription purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store using your Apple ID. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Any free trial, if offered, will be subject to the terms displayed in the app and Apple’s App Store purchase flow.

6. Free Scan Credits

CoverWise AI may provide a limited number of free scan credits. Free scan limits may change at any time. Premium users may receive unlimited scans while their subscription is active.

Failed scans, technical issues, or AI service interruptions may affect scan availability. We reserve the right to adjust scan limits, premium features, or app functionality.

7. Refunds

All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policies. We do not directly process refunds. To request a refund, please follow Apple’s official refund process.

8. Third-Party Services

CoverWise AI may rely on third-party services for AI processing, subscription management, analytics, or app functionality. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party service availability, accuracy, interruptions, or data handling beyond our control.

9. Intellectual Property

CoverWise AI, including its app design, branding, interface, features, and original content, is owned by the developer or licensed for use.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the app without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

CoverWise AI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or available at all times.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated summaries, ratings, genre insights, recommendations, or detected book details will always be correct.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use CoverWise AI.

Your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.

12. App Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of CoverWise AI at any time, including features, scan limits, pricing, or premium benefits.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

14. Apple App Store Terms

Your use of CoverWise AI is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms and policies. Apple is not responsible for the app’s content, maintenance, support, or claims related to the app.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
